MaDee Thai Kitchen: Authentic Thai Cuisine in Costa Mesa

For many years this has been my go-to takeout Thai food place. It's a family restaurant with extremely delicious food - the only catch is that the food takes time (in the order of 30-50 minutes rather than 15) to prepare. Order ahead and plan accordingly, and be rewarded with some of the best Thai food in OC. The spices and textures are perfection!

We came here based on the good reviews. It was quiet, clean and fast. I think the prices are very reasonable. The pad see ew my wife got was really good, ordered medium spice so it was just perfect. It is very straightforward. No fuss. I like that. We also got the ribeye and it comes with a salad. It was excellent and a good portion. My wife loved it so much we came back the next day for pad Thai and spring rolls. It was tangy and sweet and she barely gave me a bite. The service is good.

The food was good for a place so far out in Newport Beach. I liked the Pad Thai with shrimp better than the Tom Yum soup, though. The Pad Thai had a great smoky flavor. The Tom Yum could have been more spicy and less tomato focused. The Thai tea was delicious! I think they use Pantai tea leaves, my favorite brand. The owner was very nice and even packed our leftovers for us. I wasn’t expecting it at all, but she insisted.

Excellent tasting food, good portions, family was craving Thai and MaDee delivered! Will definitely be back.

MaDee Thai Kitchen is a small yet quaint Thai restaurant. It's pretty clear from my time in the restaurant that the focus is online take out orders. The atmosphere is plain, and there are only three tables set up. Everything is neat and clean and in its proper place. The process of ordering food is walk up to the counter, review the one page menu and place your order, then either wait for it to be made to go, or take a seat and it will be brought to you. Seriously, a no frills establishment. That being said, the food is spit on! I ordered a small house salad, and when I was unsure if I wanted the vinegar/ soy dressing or the peanut dressing, the staff recommended the soy, and it was just what the doctor ordered. The salad was freshly cut, and it showed. Next on the table was the dumplings/ gyoza, and they were perfect. Just the right amount of fried deliciousness without being burnt. There were six (6) in the order. Finally, the entree I ordered, Pork Pad Thai, was brought over. This was so perfectly seasoned that I almost forgot to add a little soy. The pork and the noodles were perfect in their preparation. It's a good amount of food. It was so good that I have already decided the next time I go, I want to try the Shrimp Pad Thai. It you like Thai food or want to try "good" Thai food, then MaDee Thai Kitchen is a great place to try. You won't be disappointed.

One of the best Thai I've ever had! It was delivered piping hot and the flavor was incredible. Will absolutely be adding this into my rotation of monthly take out. Try it out you will not be disappointed!

A true “Mom Pop” restaurant. We ate here Monday night. Usual, Panang Curry, Drunken noodle and Pad Thai. All the dishes were delicious. Drunken Noodle, are now our favorite. They were cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. Will be returning again when v visit our kid at UCI
